Expeditions is an odd title. A mixture of Snowrunner and Mudrunner as well as some kind of parcel delivery service smashed into a story about helping science projects in the woods by tear-assing across grasslands in a race to put up a wildlife camera.
Odd? Yes. Bad? Not exactly.
In my review I cover the unique feeling of a Mudrunners title the parsing out of extreme precision at slow speed akin to a surgeon being rewarded for each successful cut. However, there are oddities in Expeditions that consistently crop up, for instance the gamified airdrops that throw tools and items into the game world for you to track down. When combined with the more mission driven game-play as well as the science team on a fun trip story-line it can make Expeditions feel less than the sum of its parts.
