According to @gamediscoverco a Twitter user who tracks all data within Steam that is available to outside users. Steam has hit over 31 million concurrent users.

(5) Alejandro LL. on Twitter: "Not entirely unexpected but Steam just reached 31,1 million concurrent users. Thanksgiving festivities and this time of the year besides the multiple Autumn/Black Friday sales made this possible. 2022 has been quite a year in terms of milestones for the platform.
Steam has been breaking its own records left and right with top-tier game reviews, the news that Ubisoft was returning to the digital storm, and various sales that constantly run. The digital store is also the home of the popular Steam Deck, a portable handheld PC device.
Seems there is no stopping Steam right now.
